The film stars Viola Davis as U.S. President Danielle Sutton, a former Marine who must use her military expertise to thwart a terrorist takeover at a stunning hotel during the G20 summit.

The G20 locations
The movie opens with a sequence set in Budapest, Hungary, featuring an establishing shot of the magnificent Church of Our Lady of Buda Castle.
This Gothic-style landmark, originally built in the 13th century and once used as a coronation site for Hungarian kings, has been rebuilt and restored several times.
But that’s all the real footage filmed in Budapest. The interior of the church was actually shot at St George's Cathedral in Cape Town, South Africa.
The cathedral, which boasts the largest stained-glass windows in the Southern Hemisphere, features splendid Gothic architecture, much like its Hungarian counterpart.

However, the church's exterior style doesn’t match the other two buildings.
This scene, pictured, was filmed at a third location: the Central Methodist Mission located in Cape Town's bustling Greenmarket Square.

The G20 hotel in South Africa
Just before arriving at the hotel, the presidential motorcade passes beneath Lion's Head, a striking peak in Cape Town nestled between Table Mountain and Signal Hill.

Santé Wellness Retreat and Spa in Paarl, Western Cape, serves as the fictional Grand Diamond Hotel.
Before being transformed into a luxurious hideaway, this large property was once a vineyard and farm.

Accommodation rates at the resort vary depending on room type, season, and package inclusions.
On average, standard rooms range from $433 to $491 per night.
The hotel exterior is a digital creation, seemingly inspired by the hotel and House Laudium, an eight-bedroom luxury home designed by Nico van der Meulen Architects in Centurion, South Africa.
