The Studio locations

The first episode, "The Promotion", opens with a scene in a frozen cabin by a lake which turns out to be a film set.
This is the Jungle Lagoon set at the Warner Bros. Studios Lot in Burbank, consisting of a large pond with a scenic cabin nestled along the shore, enveloped by lush greenery.

Quinn (played by Chase Sui Wonders) drives Matt through Continental Studios, until they reach the offices where a group of tourists visit the exterior of this 'Temple of Cinema.'
This is actually the Warner Bros. Television building, with a Frank Lloyd Wright-style façade digitally inserted into the scene.

When Matt and Quinn cross the door, there is a cut as the interior was a set built at Stage 16 in the same studios, one of the tallest soundstages in the world, standing 98 feet high.
The obvious inspiration for this gorgeous set is Frank Lloyd Wright's Mayan Revival architecture from the early 20th century.
This style includes the iconic Ennis House and Millard House (pictured below), both located in Los Angeles.

Matt and Sal (Ike Barinholtz) meet the director's agent for the Kool-Aid movie at the famous Smoke House Restaurant, just outside the Warner Bros. Studios at 4420 West Lakeside Drive in Burbank.
Opened in 1946, the restaurant has become a popular spot for actors and film crews and has also served as a filming location for numerous productions, including La La Land, Lucifer, and Good Girls.

Patty (Catherine O'Hara) lives in the Harvey House, a magnificent mid-century modern residence overlooking Los Angeles in Hollywood Hills.
Designed by architect John Lautner in 1950, the house features a circular wooden court with expansive glass walls, harmonizing with the natural environment.

In 1998, the Harvey House was bought by actress Kelly Lynch and screenwriter Mitch Glazer, who invested a great deal of effort and approximately $1.5 million (about the same amount they paid for the property) into restoring the house to its former glory.
The house had fallen into poor condition because the second owner never fully understood the architecture and started adding unfinished sheetrock additions.

On his way to Charlize Theron's party, Matt cruises down Hollywood Boulevard in his vintage MG MGB convertible, passing by the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

The show's second episode, "The Oner" is a genius comedic portrayal of the chaotic filmmaking process condensed into a 25-minute single-shot sequence.
The set was filmed at the Reiner-Burchill Residence, also known as Silvertop, another of John Lautner's masterpieces.
Built between 1956 and 1963, this futuristic home sits atop a hill in Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighborhood.

The Silvertop House is famous for its sweeping concrete roof, which appears to float above the structure, and its seamless integration with the natural landscape.
The house was one of the first private homes to feature an infinity-edge swimming pool.

In the third episode, "The Note", Matt's team is watching a preview screening of Ron Howard’s new film Alphabet City, starring Anthony Mackie.
The movie's first scene was filmed on Hennesey Street at the Warner Bros. Studio backlot, a set representing the essence of a New York tenement.

The motel is The Travel Inn, a budget-friendly stay located at 8525 Sepulveda Boulevard in North Hills.
