Where is Out There filmed? The Raglan Castle Hotel and (almost) all the locations

The six-part ITV drama series Out There was filmed entirely in Wales.

The series stars Martin Clunes as Nathan Williams, a Welsh farmer confronted with the infiltration of his rural community by county line drug dealers.

The cast includes Louis Ashbourne Serkis as Johnny Williams, Nathan's son, and Mark Lewis Jones as Caleb Williams.

The Out There locations

Out There farm
The Black Mountains landscapes in southeast Wales provide the green backdrop for the fictional Bron Haul Farm.

Stretching across Powys, Monmouthshire, and into Herefordshire, this is a stunning range of hills within the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Bron Haul Farm
As one of our readers reported, Bron Haul Farm was filmed at the Dderw Farmhouse, located near the village of Llyswen, County Powys.

Out There Wales
Several street scenes were filmed in Llandovery, located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Carmarthenshire.

The pub in the first episode is The White Hall Hotel (Rose & Crown in the series), next to Alma House on High Street.

The Skirrid Inn
The Skirrid Inn near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire is one of Wales's oldest pubs, dating back over 900 years.

It was once used as a courthouse where hangings were carried out, adding to its reputation as one of the most haunted inns in Britain.

Welsh Marches Bank
As the local press reported, the former Natwest bank on Llandovery's Market Square doubled as the Welsh Marches Bank branch building.

Some more scenes were filmed near the arches of this central square.

The Raglan Castle Hotel

Raglan Castle Hotel
Twyn Yr Hydd House, a historic Victorian mansion located within Margam Country Park in South Wales, served as the fictional Raglan Castle.

Built in the late 19th century, it was originally a grand private residence before being converted over the years.

Today, this house is used for events and functions.

Out There location
The secondary school is the Margam Discovery Centre located within Margam Country Park near Port Talbot in South Wales.

The centre is a great base for exploring the park's trails.

Llandovery railway station
The train stations were filmed between Llandovery and Newport railway stations.

River Usk Railway Bridge in Newport
In the second episode, there is an establishing shot of the River Usk Railway Bridge in Newport.

Built in the mid-19th century, it is part of the South Wales Main Line, connecting Newport to Cardiff and beyond.

Pacific Nails
The Pacific Nails salon was filmed at a vacant store at 78 Bridge Street in Newport.

Out There house
There is a scene in the fourth episode filmed at The Dovecot, a lovely cottage located in the Tintern area.

Set in the middle of a woodland, featuring a pound and a waterfall, the cottage can be rented for a minimum of three nights for around £660.

Eglwysilan church
The funeral in the season finale was filmed at the St. Ilan's Church of Eglwysilan and Caerphilly in Glamorgan, a historic parish church with origins dating back to the Middle Ages.

Surrounded by an atmospheric graveyard, the church is perched on a hillside, offering stunning views of the valleys around it.

The Sultan Cardiff
The Sultan in Cardiff Bay is a Turkish restaurant housed in a historic Grade II listed house built in 1882.

Llandovery Castle
One of the final scenes features Llandovery Castle, a ruined medieval fortress with a rich history dating back to the 12th century.

Built by the Normans, it played a significant role during the turbulent times of the Welsh resistance.

You've made a mistake by calling the farm Brown Hall - it is called Bron Haul (pronounced Bron Hile) and translates to English as Sun Breast (Bron is breast Haul is sun) as in breast of a hill or hillside so Sunny Hillside.

The grey farmhouse where Nathan lives is called The Dderw, near the village of Llyswen.
