The movie opens with Beatrice walking in a snowy, bustling city that, from the establishing shots, must be New York.
This scene was filmed in front of the Bank of Nova Scotia Building at 1709 Hollis Street in downtown Halifax.
Have you noticed the beautiful gilded ornaments on the facade? Completed in 1931, this building is a beautiful landmark of Canadian Art Deco architecture.

Beatrice meets Emilia (played by Lindura, the actress who plays Sydney Shandon in Sullivan’s Crossing) in a cute coffee shop.
This is the Rousseau Chocolatier boutique at 5151 South Street in Halifax, which specializes in premium, handmade chocolate confections.

The picturesque village of Mahone Bay dobled as most of Christmasland, Massachusetts, the town 'Where all your holiday dreams come true'.
Located on Nova Scotia's South Shore, this charming seaside town is renowned for its gorgeous waterfront and iconic trio of historic churches.

The North Pole Inn is the magnificent Jeremiah F. Kenny Mansion in Halifax.
Built in 1900 in the Queen Anne Revival style by renowned architect James Charles Philip Dumaresq, this elegant home now serves as a private residence.
The property originally included a two-story wooden coach house with a mansard roof, housing horse-drawn carriages and stables.

Emilia meets Porter (Kevin Hanchard) at the Jo-Ann's Deli Market & Bake Shop on Mahone Bay's Edgewater Street.
Established in 1986, the shop features a café and a small fruit stand, as well as gourmet deli items and local seafood specialties like her famous salt cod fishcakes.

But the Sugarplum Bakery is located on a small pedestrian street between the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel and the ferry terminal in downtown Halifax's waterfront district.
