Featuring a paradise-like island and massive sets, Beast Games was filmed in Toronto, Las Vegas, and Panama.
The reality competition series, created by YouTuber star Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, throws 1,000 contestants competing in various challenges for a grand prize of $5 million, claimed to be the largest single cash prize in history.

Inspired by Squid Game, which itself seems to have been influenced by Takeshi's Castle, the show blends the dystopian concept of tough competition with humanity's fascination with turning violence into entertainment.

Where was Beast Games filmed?
As the making-of video revealed, the first round of the game, including the first episode, "1,000 People Fight For $5,000,000," was filmed in one of the old hangars at Downsview Airport in Toronto, Ontario.
The set broke the record as the largest scaffolding area ever used for a TV show.

This episode features extensive CGI to create the illusion that the contestants were falling into an abyss, while they were actually standing on a platform approximately nine feet tall (almost three meters).
The eliminated players fell into a cubicle filled with foam for safety.
The bundles of bills were real money, guarded by security guards. Only the loose bills were counterfeit (or prop) money.
The Beast City
The Beast City in the second episode, "500 People Trapped In My City", was a huge set filmed in Toronto's Downsview area, near the former airport site in North York.
The producers built a large cement tower with a dozen identical one-story houses and fake palm trees.

Mr. Beast pointed out that they spent $14 million to build this village.
A red wall surrounded the set, but there was no moat with sharks and piranhas, as this render of the city suggests.
The Beast Games Island
The results of our sleuthing revealed that Beast Games was filmed on the small La Vivienda Island in Panama.
The island is located in the Pearl Islands, a stunning archipelago located in the Gulf of Panama, about 30 miles (48 km) south of the mainland.

Isla La Vivienda is an uninhabited island covered with dense vegetation and encircled by clear waters and the neighboring islands of Bayoneta and Malaga.
Several islands in the Pearl Archipelago have been used as filming locations for TV shows such as Survivor, with several seasons filmed there.
The islands were a playground for Hollywood stars and elites in the mid-20th century, especially Contadora Island, which became famous for its high-end retreats.
There were no buildings on the island before the showrunners acquired the $1,800,000 private tropical property.
The large cabana, along with the ten bungalows on the beach and the pool, was built for the occasion.
The pirate ship, Black Magic Barco Pirata, is based on Perico Island near Panama City on the Pacific Ocean side.
The boat can be rented for parties, events, and tours around the bay, but as far as we know, shooting cannons isn’t part of the experience.

Local press reported that the show was also filmed over four days at Allegiant Stadium near the Las Vegas Strip.
The venue, which also hosted the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII, is nicknamed “The Death Star” because it resembles the infamous Star Wars space station.
Looking at the picture below, I would say that the home of the Las Vegas Raiders looks more like a giant Roomba vacuum cleaner.

Instructions were very confusing. Also, who would not take the one million and go home? Entertaining but not well thought out for what it costs. Squid imposter.
