Set in the fictional village of Everly, To Have and To Holiday was filmed primarily in Chester, Nova Scotia.
This festive Hallmark Channel movie follows the story of Celeste (Madeleine Arthur), who gets engaged to Jason (Robert Bazzocchi) after just a few months of dating in New York.

The couple travels to Celeste's hometown and she asks her father, Pastor Mark (played by Eric Close), to officiate their Christmas wedding.
Mark will challenge the duo with a sort of "pre-wedding boot camp" to test their compatibility.

As Celeste and Jason arrive in Everly, there is an establishing shot of the famous churches along the waterfront in Mahone Bay, located about 7 miles (11 kilometers) from Chester.
These iconic 19th-century buildings, with their picturesque spires, are close together because they represent different Christian denominations (Anglican, Lutheran, and United Church of Canada).

Pastor Mark and his wife live in a seaside green house with one of the best views over Mahone Bay in Chester.
According to the local press, the Arlington home is a 7,200-square-foot property called Overtheway.

This magnificent mansion has been in the same family since the owner's great-grandfather, a doctor and philanthropist, built it in 1905, employing more than 200 craftsmen.
The house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and the beautiful covered veranda featured in the movie.
Mark's Church is the Saint Stephen's Church located in the heart of Chester.
Built in 1840 on the top of the hill, the Greek Revival and Gothic Revival style church features elegant pointed arches.

The street scenes in Everly were primarily filmed on Queen and Pleasant Streets in downtown Chester, where the bar is located.
Founded in the 1750s, Chester is a charming coastal village on Nova Scotia's South Shore, known for its scenic beauty, historic architecture, and maritime heritage.

The local bar where the talent night and other scenes were filmed is the Fo'c'sle Village Pub, also in Chester.
This is considered one of the oldest pubs in the province, dating back to the 1760s.
Originally part of a blacksmith's workshop and general mercantile establishment, the building has become a cozy pub with a welcoming atmosphere.
