The square around which almost everything in the movie takes place was filmed on Brockville's quaint Courthouse Avenue.
Located 210 miles (about 340 kilometers) east of Toronto along the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands region, this charming city is known for its historic architecture.

The Keystorm Pub, located on the same avenue, served as Kathy's Kafe, where Jack tries food for the first time.
The interior of this popular local spot was extensively renovated to recreate the retro diner style of the restaurant in the movie.

Mel & Teo shop, Reclaimed Rags, was set up in an empty store across the street from the pub.
Jack is played by Dustin Milligan, known for his roles in the television comedy series Schitt's Creek and Rutherford Falls.

Hope Springs Sheriff's Office exterior is located nearby at the Stewart Corbett Law Office at 21 Court House Avenue.
The melomaniacal Sheriff Hunter is played by Craig Robinson, who became famous after his roles in The Office as Darryl Philbin.

As the CTV News revealed, Kathy's house and neighborhood are in Almonte, a small town situated along the Canadian Mississippi River, about 28 miles (45 kilometers) southwest of Ottawa.

The old Century Public School in Ottawa's west end doubled as the Hope Springs middle school.
