Set in the fictional Tanaka Arena in Philadelphia, Trap was entirely filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario.
With the signature style of filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, the story blends thriller and mystery genres with an unusual concert setting.

The movie follows Cooper (Josh Hartnett) and his daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) as they attend a pop concert by Lady Raven, played by Saleka Shyamalan, the movie director's daughter.

The Trap locations
At the beginning of the movie, firefighter Cooper Abbott finds a parking space at Rees Street Parking in Toronto, close to popular places like the Rogers Centre, CN Tower, and HTO Park.
However, father and daughter are walking in the opposite direction to the concert where the Rogers Centre is located.

The Tanaka Arena
The Lady Raven's concert venue, the Tanaka Arena, is an amalgam of three different locations.
The exteriors were filmed at the Rogers Centre, the multi-purpose stadium in downtown Toronto.
Best known as the home of the MLB's Toronto Blue Jays, this stunning venue features a retractable roof and a seating capacity of over 53,000.

The spot where they wait for the artist to wave to the fans was filmed on Blue Jays Way, next to HighRail Park.
According to Exclaim Magazine, some exteriors were also filmed at the Scotiabank Arena, formerly known as the Air Canada Centre in downtown Toronto.

However, the interior, including the corridors, terrace, and central concert hall, was shot at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton.
Home to the Hamilton Bulldogs hockey team, the 17,000-seat arena hosts various events including concerts, sports, and entertainment shows.
The arena is one of the largest in Canada and a key venue for major events in the region.

The Abbott house in East Dublin is a detached home located at 1525 Stonehaven Drive in Glen Leven, Mississauga.

As reported by Inside Halton, the limousine scene was filmed on Milton's Main Street.
Several storefronts were rebranded for the shoot, which took place in November 2023.
