The Murder in a Small Town Gibsons locations
Most of the series takes place in Gibsons, a picturesque coastal town located on the Sunshine Coast, about 40 kilometers northwest of Vancouver.
Gibsons gained fame as the filming location for the long-running Canadian television series The Beachcombers (which aired from 1972 to 1990), and is still a popular destination for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
As in The Beachcombers, the famous Molly's Reach café is also a key filming location in the show.
The waterfront location of this iconic Gibsons landmark and working restaurant offers stunning views of the harbor.

Cassandra works at the real Gibsons and District Public Library located at 473 South Fletcher Road.
This production is one of the few that, instead of creating a fictional town, is actually set in the real location where it was filmed.

Some street scenes were filmed on Gibson's central Gower Point Road, like this one in front of Leo's Tapas Restaurant.

Several scenes were also filmed in and around the town's charming harbor.
The harbor is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and landmarks, including the Molly's Reach café.

At the end of the first episode, "The Suspect," the Langdale Terminal, located just north of Gibsons, is featured.
This facility serves as the primary connection between the mainland (via Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver) and the Sunshine Coast.
The terminal is operated by BC Ferries and is known for its scenic setting, offering views of Howe Sound and nearby coastal landscapes.
