Where was The Jetty filmed? The lake and all the locations

Set in a lakeside town in Greater Lancashire, The Jetty was primarily filmed in and around the Hollingworth Lake in Greater Manchester.

The story revolves around Detective Ember Manning, who is assigned to investigate a fire at a boathouse.

Jenna Coleman and Archie Renaux

Manning (played by Jenna Coleman, who starred in Wilderness and The Sandman) soon uncovers a baffling case that not only threatens the stability of her hometown, but also forces her to confront painful details from her own past.

The series opens with establishing shots of the picturesque Hollingworth Lake near Littleborough in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.

Originally constructed in 1800 to supply water for the Rochdale Canal, it has since become a popular recreational area.

The Jetty location
The burnt boat hut and the jetty is a building located near the Pavillion Cafe on the shore of Hollingworth Lake.

Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club
The local pub is the Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club. The adjacent facilities of the Rowing Club and the Water Activity Centre are also key locations in the show.

The club offers a variety of sailing activities and has a rich history dating back to its foundation in 1946.

Baitings Dam in Ripponden
At the very beginning of the first episode, there is also an establishing shot of Baitings Dam in Ripponden, West Yorkshire.

Completed in 1956, it is part of a network of reservoirs in the Pennine Hills that supply water to the surrounding areas.

The Jetty town
Some of the town scenes were filmed in Todmorden, a beautiful market town in the Upper Calder Valley in West Yorkshire, close to the Lancashire border.

Todmorden is crossed by the Rochdale Canal and the Calder and Hebble Navigation, both historically significant for their role in the Industrial Revolution.

Ember's family house is located next to one of the canal locks outside Todmorden.

Amy Knightley's family house with the empty pool is an elegant four-bedroom Georgian home in Ripponden, in the Ryburn Valley.

According to real estate websites, this large property has an estimated market value of £800,000.

Royal Kings Hospital
Trafford Town Hall in Stretford, Greater Manchester, served as the fictional Royal Kings Hospital.

Completed in 1933, the building is a Neoclassical historic landmark.

The High School is Todmorden High School on Ewood Lane in Todmorden.
