The Mother of the Bride locations
Once in Thailand, in one of the first establishing shots is of the famous Big Buddha in Phuket.
Situated on Nakkerd Hill in the Chalong area, this monumental statue is made of reinforced concrete covered with Burmese white marble.
Also known as the Great Buddha of Phuket, its construction began in 2004 and was entirely funded by donations.
The next location is Dibuk Road in Old Phuket Town, a charming street with many historic buildings still standing.
This landmark is featured later on in the movie in the barbershop scene.

Also shown is an aerial view over Ko Panyi floating village in Phang Nga Bay.
The Panyee Island community was established over 200 years ago by Malay fishermen.
Perched on stilts above the water, the village sustains a population of around 1,500 residents, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the local Muslim community.

The iconic James Bond Island, also known as Ko Tapu, is located near Ko Panyi.
Characterized by its towering limestone karsts jutting out of the emerald-green water, the island gained international fame after being featured in the 1974 James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun.

The Mother of the Bride Anantara Resort
The luxurious beachfront retreat where the wedding and most of the film takes place is the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.
Located on the northwest coast of the island, the hotel offers elegant accommodations ranging from rooms and suites to private pool villas.

Set amidst lush tropical gardens and overlooking the dazzling Layan Beach, you can book a suite at this resort for around $350 per night.
According to Netflix, some scenes were also filmed at the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas, located on Mai Khao Beach in the north, near the airport.
This prestigious resort offers a collection of luxurious private pool villas nestled amidst lush tropical gardens.

The place where Lana and Will get lost is the secluded Koh Kudu Yai National Park, a small island located north of Koh Yao Noi.
The lagoon has a beautiful sandy shoreline, and a narrow path through the jungle leads to a second, equally enchanting beach.
