Where was Civil War filmed? Guide to all the locations

Set in a not-too-distant future, Civil War was filmed in and around Atlanta, Georgia.
The story revolves around a group of war correspondents who decide to take a dangerous road trip from New York to Washington DC to interview the President before the conflict is over.

Kirsten Dunst stars as photojournalist Lee Smith. The cast also includes Wagner Moura (Pablo Escobar in Narcos) as her colleague Joel, Cailee Spaeny as young photographer Jessie Cullen, and Stephen McKinley Henderson as veteran journalist Sammy.

The Civil War locations
In New York, Jessie gets stuck in the middle of a protest and Lee goes to help her.
This sequence was filmed on Jesse Hill Jr. Drive and Auburn Avenue in downtown Atlanta, where the Big Bethel AME Church is located.
As you can see in the image, the Manhattan skyline was CGI'd in the distance.

On their way to the front lines in Charlottesville, Virginia, the group drives through the country's war zones.
The highway filled with abandoned, wrecked cars was filmed on the GA-20 near Hampton. This stretch of the road was also used in The Walking Dead.

The reporters stop for gas at a Valero station near Fairburn.
The car wash with the two looters was a set built on location for the scene.

The mall scene with the downed helicopter is the Greenbriar Mall in southwest Atlanta.
Production designer Caty Maxey said in an interview that the scene was filmed at a mall near their Atlanta offices that had been abandoned two years ago except for one store.
The JCPenney sign was added to make it look more American.

The scene pictured was filmed in the Emory Clinic building on the Briarcliff campus of Emory University in Atlanta.
This is the same location that served as the Hawkins Lab location in the first season of Stranger Things.

The refugee camp was filmed at the Alonzo Herndon Stadium, an athletic facility located at Morris Brown College in Atlanta.
The stadium, which is currently in a state of disrepair due to lack of maintenance following the college's financial difficulties in the early 2000s, may soon be demolished.

This scene was filmed on Buford Highway between Atlanta and Doraville, near DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.

The burning building is on the CDC-Chamblee Campus, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention facility that houses advanced laboratories and offices.

The town, which looks unaffected by the ongoing war, was filmed in Conyers.
The clothing store is located on beautiful Center Street, with the Rockdale County Courthouse building in the background.

The Winter Wonderland golf course transformed into a sniper zone was filmed at Bouckaert Farms in the Chattahoochee Hill Country, Fairburn.
This premier equestrian facility has a picturesque landscape that was used to film one of the key scenes in Avengers: Infinity War.
Some of the road scenes in the woods, the military camp, and the lake were also likely filmed on this property.

As production VFX supervisor David Simpson told The Art of VFX, shooting the battle in the streets of Washington DC in the middle of the night with explosions in a city would have been logistically complicated.
So they decided to film the Lincoln Memorial and the 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue sequence using a mix of CGI and blue-screen sets built in a parking lot at Stone Mountain.

The final section of the movie was partially filmed at the Tyler Perry Studios' White House in Atlanta.
The set is a detailed 75% scale replica of the White House that is used for filming various productions, providing a realistic backdrop for political dramas.
The interior was also a set built on a soundstage.

On IMDb it also lists Philadelphia as a filming location. Was any scene shot in Philly?
