I saw what looked like Colter Shaw's rig - a black GMC towing an Airstream trailer in Dayton, NV on 2/17/24. Was that the rig used in the show?

I couldn't tell if the truck was black or dark blue. The Airstream is unique, though. It's a 2016 Pendleton 27FB. They were made for the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service and only 100 were made.

Is the halfway house the same building used in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?

I watched them filming today at a house a couple blocks from my place in Pitt Meadows, BC. Justin was there, and so was his black truck. I watched a couple of short scenes. He’s a tall guy!

Ep 2: 21025 Yeomans Crescent Langley; the quarry again.
Ep 3: Woodhaven Parking Lot in Belcarra; Horseshoe Bay Drive, right by Highway 99.

Episode three first scene has me confused. It says Idaho, but Idaho does not have any large bodies of water with islands. They could have maybe passed it off as Oregon, but it’s a hard buy in for Idaho. I love seeing my BC in this show.

Lake Pend Orville in Idaho is 43 miles long and 5th deepest in the country. Also, Priest Lake in Idaho has islands.

The location for episode 6 taking place in Lexington, Ky, was a very bad decision. NOTHING in that episode came close to resembling Ky, let alone the Lexington area, at all. I was very disappointed.

Agreed regarding the locations used in Lexington. Absurd that anyone would think that BC could stand in for Lexington, KY.

Ran into Justin and Sophia at one of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver back on Jan 19th. They were so kind! Talked for a few minutes with them about my brother’s ties to Froggy’s bar from the beginning of This is Us. They even bought us dessert! Exciting to see how the show is going.

Studio filming is not done at Vancouver Film Studios, save possibly for the EP 1 pilot, which was shot about a year before the test of Season 1. The studio used is in Langley, BC, about 45 min away from VFS.

Any idea which airport was used in season 1, episode 10? My guess is Squamish, given how close the mountains are to the runway.

There was a day-long filming shoot at Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park day use this fall in late Sept or early Oct 2024. I forgot the exact dates, but I worked there as a park operator when they were there. It must be for Season 2 because I think it's too close to when Season 1 was released for it to be from that season.
It was one day of set up, one day of filming, and one day of clean up. I never met any of the actors, but I met many people. It takes an army to film, it's quite astonishing! It was very windy and rainy all three days, so I'm very interested to see how the filming turned out!

Thank you for posting the Bagheera pic- I was looking for it online. I saw that it's a speakeasy and the interior is hidden away inside a "betting agency".

I work at the Langley Super Save. They did a ton of work for what boiled down to a few minutes of footage. It was cool to meet Justin and we had fun hanging out with Levi (the guy who played the cashier).
The back door Levi goes through is not actually part of the building. Just a box they stuck to the wall. lol

Season 2 Episode 8 "The Night Movers" at 09:33 into the show. Justin/Colter is walking out of a building on an uphill street. There is a city/suburb in his background with what appears to be a red and white trestle bridge in the upper right-hand corner of the screen/shot between the tree on the left and the building on the right. Does anyone know what structure(s) that is? Thank you!

The old bistro in season 2 episode 8 is actually a working Italian grocery store dating from 1905 called Tosi. Angelo Tosi is the name of the owner and the store has been in his family's hands since it opened way back when. And it looks just like it was just opened in 1905.
Aside from some of the best hard-milled pasta available when the Agricultural Act in the '50s came along that forbade cheeses made from unpasteurized milk that was under a year of age we're not allowed in Canada. But his family was grandfathered into the act and so to this day, he sells about four or five giant wheels of Parmesan Reggiano a weekend. It is just under a year and it is soft and moist and like what you get in a restaurant in Italy when you go there. You eat it with fresh fruit as a dessert with your Vin Santo, espresso, and Amaretti cookies.
The coin is under a tea cloth on the counter. The bills are in a zippered wallet chained to his belt and he only just gave in on started using an adding machine about 10 years ago. I think he's probably close to 80 and his hearing is going. To get in you have to stand outside the door and ring the buzzer. Several times. Eventually, he will hear it and buzz you in. And then you wander the store for three or four minutes until he appears. Some of the best olive oils and balsamic vinegars are available without the hoity-toity prices. Fresh seeds for Italian parsley and basil directly from Italia.
It's great fun to wander around and once Angelo gets to know you you can have quite a lively conversation although he is very acerbic. And it's the best price for parmesan in town. Not only is it less than Costco, it's not aged over a year or two or three years like most parmesans you get here. And you can have it cut to size. Although it does last for a very long time you can get as little or as much as you want. And this little Italian deli is smack dab in the middle of Vancouver's Chinatown. Enjoy, Bon Appetito!
