Where was Wilderness filmed? The Hotel and all the Locations

Boasting stunning locations, Wilderness was filmed primarily between Vancouver and New York, but also in several areas of Arizona, Nevada, British Columbia, and Alberta.
The Amazon Prime psychological thriller features the fictional Majestic Hotel, which is actually located in the Canadian Rockies, and some beautiful North American outdoors.

The story revolves around a seemingly perfect couple, until Liv (played by Jenna Coleman) discovers that her husband Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) is having an affair.
The couple embark on a road trip through America's breathtaking national parks in an attempt to save their marriage.
Here is our spoiler-free guide to all the filming locations of Wilderness. We've broken the series down into the key sites, ordered more or less by first appearance.
Wilderness Locations
The series opens with the gorgeous blue 1964 Ford Mustang convertible crushing what it looks like an Australian redback spider.
This scene was filmed on the scenic U.S. Route 89A in Arizona, near Marble Canyon.

The gas station is the Chevron on the US-89A in Marble Canyon, although it is located in the opposite direction from where the couple is going in the previous scene.

The fictional Lowbeck Hotel was filmed at The Douglas boutique hotel in the vibrant entertainment district of Parq Vancouver.

Back in the present, Liv and Will stop at the Cliff Dwellers Lodge, situated a few miles up on Route 89A in Arizona.
Nestled at the base of the Vermilion Cliffs, this historic settlement is the perfect base to explore the area.

According to location manager Michael Farias, the production received permission to film the scene on a cliff on the rim of the Grand Canyon that is not normally open to the public.

Hollywood North Buzz reported that a scene was filmed on the roof of Gastown Printers in Vancouver, pictured.
However, the interior of Liv and Will's apartment in New York's Meatpacking District was built on a soundstage in the studios.

The cast and crew spent two days filming the rafting sequence going down the Squamish River in British Columbia, assisted by the Canadian Outback Rafting company.
With its crystal-clear waters surrounded by lush forests and rugged mountains, rafting on the Squamish River can be an unforgettable experience.
Some additional filming took place at the Whistler Olympic Park.

The graveyard at the end of the first episode, "Happily Ever After", is the Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
Established in 1838, this is the picturesque final resting place for many notable figures, including artists, politicians, and cultural icons such as Basquiat and Leonard Bernstein.

Lynn Valley Park near Vancouver doubled as the Yosemite National Park.
According to our readers, the bridge is the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge.

The gym is the House Concepts in West Vancouver, a 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness studio.

Also in the second episode, "The Other Woman", the club scenes were filmed at the Aura Nightclub in Downtown Vancouver.

The Wilderness Hotel
Nestled amongst the woods, the magnificent Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a key location in Wilderness.
Appearing in the series as the Majestic Hotel, this luxurious resort built in 1888 exudes the grandeur of Scottish-Baronial architecture.

A few scenes in the fourth episode, "Home Sweet Home", were filmed near the iconic Caesars Palace on Las Vegas main boulevard.

Cara and Bonnie's house was located on New York's Upper West Side at 169 East 71st Street.
According to Zillow, the four-bedroom, five-bathroom home, built in 1910, has an estimated market value of more than eight million dollars.

Also in the fourth episode, Liv goes running to the Battery Park in Manhattan, overlooking the Statue of Liberty.

There is a scene in the fifth episode with Liv and her mother that was filmed in the Lonsdale Quay area of Vancouver, which doubles as New York.
Mother and daughter have dinner at the Nuba Lebanese restaurant in Gastown, also in Vancouver.
