The Netflix action thriller starring Jennifer Lopez, The Mother, was primarily filmed in British Columbia, but also in California and the Canary Islands in Spain.
Much of the movie is set in a fictional small community in the Alaskan wilderness called Tlingit Bay.

Lopez plays an ex-Special Forces FBI agent, nicknamed "The Mother", who must return to service after 12 years undercover to protect the daughter she gave up from her old enemies.
Rounding out the main cast are Joseph Fiennes as Adrian and Gael García Bernal as Hector Álvarez. Omari Hardwick plays Agent William Cruise.

The Mother Locations: Tlingit Bay
The mother retreats to a town in the Alaskan wilderness named after the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest coast, Tlingit Bay.
The dock is the Darrell Bay Ferry Terminal near Squamish in British Columbia, set against the backdrop of the picturesque Stawamus Chief Mountain.
The Terrace Standard informed that the movie was filmed in various locations around Smithers, a small town located between Prince George and Prince Rupert in the Bulkley Valley.
The Mother also recorded scenes on Wetʼsuwetʼen First Nation territory.

According to one of our readers, the cabin was a prop built on the shore of Dennis Lake Recreation Site on Hudson Bay Mountain.

The snowmobile scenes were filmed at the Opal Mine near McDonell Lake Road, at Microwave Ridge (off the Telkwa River Forest Road), and in an area known as The Prairie, situated on top of Hudson Bay Mountain.

Hollywood North Buzz reported that the scenes in the Cincinnati park, where the bad guys kidnap Zoe (played by Lucy Paez), were filmed at Victory Square in Downtown Vancouver.
The production had a bus painted with Cincinnati's Go Metro logos for the shoot.

The parking with the alleyway where The Mother is waiting with the sniper rifle is the EasyPark Lot located in a corner of the square.
The studio work was done at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.

The section of the movie set in Cuba begins with several establishing shots filmed in La Havana.
However, all of the scenes taking place in the Caribbean nation were actually filmed on Grand Canary Island, part of the archipelago off the Atlantic coast of Northwest Africa in Spain.
As the local press revealed, the production shot in the colorful neighborhood of San Juan in Las Palmas.

The car chase on La Havana's Malecon was actually filmed on Marina Street in San Cristóbal, located on the outskirts of Las Palmas.
I've been to both La Havana and Las Palmas, and when I saw that part of the movie, I really thought they were filming in Cuba!

The wedding scene was filmed in the Pilar Nuevo Square, behind the main gate of the 16th-century Cathedral of Santa Ana.

The casino scene with Adrian Lovell was filmed at the Literary Cabinet building, an elegant 19th-century cultural center also in Las Palmas.

Back in Canada, the trio stops in the night at the Big 3 gas station next to the Sweet Wagon saloon.

After the car crash, there is a scene with the girls on the motorbike driving on the Mission Bridge over the Fraser River.

The Michael's breakfast restaurant where mother and daughter stop for lunch is the Wheelz Restaurant in Dewdney near Mission.
As you can see in the picture, this diner was called Michael's until it was renovated in 2022.

At the end of the movie, there's a scene filmed at the Church of the Angels in Pasadena, California.
Established in 1888, this gorgeous historic temple is a Gothic Revival masterpiece.

The final scene was also filmed on Victory Square in Gastown, Vancouver.

The lake is Dennis Lake, the cabin was a prop. It was erected at the Dennis Lake Recreation Site on Hudson Bay Mountain.
