Where was Fast X filmed? Guide to all the Filming Locations
Posted by Ra Moon
The penultimate movie in the now three-decade-long Fast and Furious saga is also a thrilling globetrotter.
Fast X was primarily filmed in Italy, Portugal, and California, but it is also set in Brazil and London.
Fast X was primarily filmed in Italy, Portugal, and California, but it is also set in Brazil and London.
Jason Momoa, who has more glamour than the entire Tourette family combined, plays the new villain, Dante Reyes.
Vin Diesel returns as Dom Toretto, along with the usual suspects including Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Tyrese Gibson.
Welcome to our spoiler-free guide to (almost) all the filming locations of Fast X. You'll find the locations more or less in order of appearance.
The Fast X locations
The opening scene with Dom and his son, Little B, was filmed in the parking lot of the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Fast X house
The Toretto house is located at 722 East Kensington Road in Angelino Heights, Los Angeles.
The neighbors are not very happy about having Furious Saga enthusiasts engaging in street racing, as their heroes.
If you are visiting, please be considerate to the residents.

Following The Agency's request, the high-octane team travels to Rome to steal a computer chip.
The sequence begins with some establishing shots of the Colosseum and the convoy driving around the monumental Fontana dell'Acqua Paola fountain in Trastevere, in central Rome.

If you know a bit the city, you'll realize that the truck's tour doesn't make sense, unless the filmmakers were trying to show Rome's most iconic landmarks in random order.
Thus, the convoy goes from Trastevere to the Altar of the Fatherland (Altare della Patria), the Teatro Marcello, and the Roman Forum, until it is intercepted by the flashy Lamborghini over the Umberto I Bridge (pictured).
This bridge is located about two miles away from the Roman Forum, and also... they are coming from the opposite direction!

The filming locations in this sequence are like a big jigsaw puzzle that spans three different cities.
The balcony from which Tej and Ramsey jump to the truck is located at 16 Via Vittorio Amedeo II in Turin, which is about 325 miles (523 Km) from Rome.
The remote-controlled car scene was filmed on a parallel street, Via Papacino.

The first car explosion takes place on Piazza IV Marzo in Turin.

Then, there is an aerial shot of the famous Piazza del Popolo with its twin churches in Rome.
However, the spot where the truck releases the rotating bomb was actually filmed in Piazza San Carlo in Turin, a square also featuring two almost identical churches.

But, movie magic! The long staircase on the square is located back in Rome. These are the world-famous Spanish Steps.
The bomb (and Dom) destroys part of this valuable cultural heritage. Of course, everything was done via CGI - please do not try it in real life.

The long street at the end of the steps is not in Rome or Turin, but in a town called Genzano located about 19 miles (30 km) in the south of Rome.
The shoot took place on Italo Belardi Street, where the spectacular Infiorata flower show is held every year.

The scene where the bomb splits a bus in two was recorded in Piazza Crimea in Turin.

In the real Rome, Dante rides his motorcycle through the Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere.
The square where the police catch Letty is the Belvedere Niccolò Scatoli, where is located the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola. This is the same location where the Rome sequence started.

The bomb's final destiny near the Vatican was filmed on Ponte Vittorio Emanuele I, also in Turin.

I like this short scene where some members of the family go out a stone face.
The crew built a reproduction on the studios of the Proteo-Glauco sculpture located in the extraordinary Sacro Bosco di Bomarzo near Viterbo.

Dante sees the city burning from atop the Belvedere del Gianicolo, an excellent viewpoint featuring the Giuseppe Garibaldi Monument.

Some parts of the Rio de Janeiro sequence were filmed at the studios, with the hills and buildings CGI'd into the background.
The Chevron gas station where Jakob and Little B stop to have their new passports photographed is located in Bakersfield, CA, at 8632 Maricopa Highway just off I-5.

This scene with Jakob carrying a huge surf table was filmed at the Anaheim train station (the Regional Transportation Intermodal Center) in California.

Jakob and Little B arrive in Portugal on a boat that docks in a neglected area near Lisbon called Cais do Ginjal.
This small harbor in the town of Almada used to supply the ships with wine before crossing the Atlantic.
The quarry tower is not located here, it was CGI'd into the landscape. The scene with Dante on top of the tower was filmed in the studios.

The scene where the guys are being chased by Dante and his minions was filmed on the A24 highway near Vila Real, close to the Valdigem exit, also in Portugal.

The spectacular final stunt was filmed at the Aldeadavila Dam on the Douro River.
Built between 1956 and 1962, this impressive hydroelectric power station is located right on the border between Spain and Portugal.
