The story is set in many different countries, although The Gray Man was primarily filmed in France and the Czech Republic.
The outstanding cast is headed by Ryan Gosling and Ana de Armas, who already starred in Blade Runner 2049.
Chris -Captain America- Evans was originally considered to play Sierra Six, but he declined the offer to play the villain, Lloyd Hansen. Regé-Jean Page from Bridgerton and Wagner Moura, who played Pablo Escobar in Narcos are also featured in the film.
Welcome to our spoiler-free guide to the filming locations of The Gray Man, ordered by first appearance.
The Zbrka Castle
The Zbrka Castle in Croatia is actually the Château de Chantilly in France, situated about 30 miles (50 kilometers) north of Paris.
The historical estate was added via digital effects into some footage of the spectacular Mljet Island in Croatia's Dalmatian coast.
The castle moat was blended with the waters of the internal Veliko Jezero (the Great Lake), connected to the Adriatic Sea by a long and wide channel.

The filmmakers took over this magnificent castle, with a history dating back to the 14th century, for a week.
The complex also features an art gallery, the Musée Condé, housing a fine collection of French paintings.

However, this impressive château does not have a labyrinth, which was also created using a mixture of CGI and practical effects.
By the way, "Zbrka" in Croatian means "confusion, mess".
The Gray Man Locations
According to The Prague Reporter, the opening sequence in Bangkok was filmed at Prague’s Futurama Business Park.
The studio work for the movie took place on a soundstage in Los Angeles.
IMDb reported that a street market scene was filmed in Marietta, Georgia.
With a budget of $200 million, The Gray Man is one of the most expensive films ever from Netflix.

The scene in Baku, Azerbaijan, was actually filmed at the National Memorial on Vítkov Hill in Prague, built between 1928 and 1938.
Baku's iconic three Flame Towers were CGI'd into the scene.

This short scene pictured with one of the mercenary teams sent to intercept Sierra Six was filmed at the Hradčany Air Base, a former Soviet Army military complex near Ralsko in the Liberec Region, Czech Republic.

The colorful interior courtyard in Laszlo Sosa's home in Vienna is the same that appeared in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series, located in the Malá Strana district of Prague.
The establishing shot of the railway station in Vienna is also from Prague Main Station.

Thanks to Sandra Kisić we tracked down several more cool locations in Prague.
The new building of the National Museum in Prague served as the Berlin CIA station, with the Berlin Television Tower (Fernsehturm Berlin) added in the background via CGI.

This gorgeous building that flashes for a moment when Dani Miranda is driving from Vienna to Prague is a primary school in Karlín (Prague 8), called Základní škola a mateřská škola Lyčkovo náměstí.

The former CIA chief Margaret Cahill (played by Alfre Woodard) lives in a beautiful Art Nouveau house with a giant oculus window.
Unfortunately, the superb facade of the building, located in Kostnické náměstí in Prague 3 - Žižkov, does not exist in real life as shown in the film.

But you can find this wondrous design in Forest, one of the municipalities of Brussels, Belgium.
The exuberant house was inspired by the personal home of architect Arthur Nelissen, built in 1905.
After running away from Margaret's house, the big action sequence was filmed at the central Jan Palach Square, where the Neo-Renaissance Rudolfinum Concert Hall is located.
But there is no fountain in the center of the square, it was built for the shoot and the water was added to the scene in post-production.

Sections of the tram chase were filmed opposite the National Gallery (the Veletržní Palace), located a bit far away from the square, in the Holešovice neighborhood.
The production trashed a lot of cars to film all the stunts in this scene.

The elegant bridge with Art Nouveau sculptures is the Čech Bridge, located north of the city center.

The sequence ends at the Náměstí Republiky square in Old Town, where the Bankovní Dům building was partially demolished using digital effects.
The movie can be the start of a blockbuster franchise created by Anthony and Joe Russo, who also wrote Extraction.

The CIA building in Washington DC at the end of the movie is the Los Angeles Center Studios in California.

Hi. The Art Nouveau house is located at the Kostnické náměstí (square) in the Žižkov area. The front of the building with that significant window (similar to Sanctum Sanctorum in Doctor Strange) is actually CGI. Address is Blahníkova 593/13. You can check the building on google street view.

About that beautiful Art Nouveau house... I will have to bring some bad news. This house actually doesn't exist. I believe it was changed using CGI. According to all clues I've seen, however, it should be Kostnické square in Prague 3 - Žižkov.

When there is the transition where we can see Vienna (minute 42 of the film), it's Prague's main railway station.

"The fountain was added to the scene in post-production." Actually not. It was built from wood and still can be seen on google maps. The water was CGI'ed but not the fountain.

What is a French continental castle (instead of Mediterranean) doing on Korčula Island (as written on the map in the film, but graphically depicted to be at the entrance into the Bay of Mali Ston) in Southern Croatia? Why not place it in France and call it a day, you don't see anything except the castle anyway? Should have spent more of that money on proper advisors.

The beautiful modernist house where he babysits Fitzroys niece early in the movie is the Harvey Residence by architect John Lautner, located in Loz Feliz, Los Angeles.

The colorful house in Vienna is actually in Vienna. It’s called Hundertwasser, after the architect. There are some more buildings like this one in Austria.

The colorful house might be by Hundertwasser, but the one shown in this movie is actually NOT located in Vienna. It also looks like all the Vienna air shots are Prague or some othe European city, just with the great Dome of the Hofburg and St.Stephan's cathetral CGI'ed into the shot. I am sorry though, that R. Gosling was not in town ;-) (Vienna, so to speak).
