The first subway station scene was filmed at Gateway Station, easy to recognize because it is home to the 60-foot ceramic tile mural Pittsburgh Recollections.
The 780-piece artwork by artist Romare Bearden was first installed in 1984 at the original Gateway Center T station.
Valued at $15 million, the mural was removed before the old station was demolished. After a long restoration process, the enormous piece was reassembled at the new station, reopened in 2012.
