Posted by Ra Moon
This week's Hallmarkie Baby, It’s Cold Inside was filmed in a unique, wonderful Ice Hotel located in Quebec, Canada. Would you stay in such a cold place like this?
The story revolves around a travel agent, Hannah, who is sent by her company to explore the potential of a new icy hotel as a holiday destination.
Hanna reluctantly accepts the assignment, missing her family vacation on a tropical cruise. But, the frozen complex was created by Ben, a handsome guy with a warm heart who may make Hannah's dreams come true.

The movie stars Jocelyn Hudon as Hannah and Steve Lund as Ben, the designer of the resort. Kathryn Kohut plays Hannah's best friend Phoebe, who joins her after a recent breakup.
Baby, It’s Cold Inside was filmed in one of the best-known ice hotels in the world. Welcome to the ephemeral magic rooms of the Hôtel de Glace:
The real Baby, It’s Cold Inside Ice Hotel
It wasn't hard to find the hotel, as this is the only destination of its kind in America. This sort of a luxury, giant igloo, is the Hôtel de Glace, just 20 minutes from downtown Quebec City.
The resort is located on the site of the Village Vacances Valcartier in the small town of Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier.

The movie was filmed at the 2021 edition of the Hôtel de Glace (the 21st version), as the whole place is melted and rebuilt in a different way every winter.
This massive carved ice cube opened the first day of the 21st century, on New Year's Day in 2001, although at the time it was in a different location.
It takes 50 workers around six weeks to build its majestic snow vaults, ice sculptures, and furniture. This year's theme was Quebec tales and legends.
The hotel is very similar to the 10 Below Ice Wine Lounge of the fictional Hollingbrook Winery where The Perfect Pairing was filmed.

Made entirely of snow and ice, you can explore the awe-inspiring Grand Hall, the chapel with 70 seats (available for weddings), the ice slide, and of course, the outdoor spa area with wooden hot tubs and jacuzzi which Hanna and Phoebe enjoyed so much!
The hotel boasts 15 themed suites plus six rooms. You will sleep at a temperature between -3 and -5 degrees Celsius. Rooms come with a sleeping bag and pillows.
The price for a double room starts a 340 USD - you can check the dates and book it here following this link. Hey, if it's too cold inside guests also have access to a room in Hôtel Valcartier, so you can make use of the bathroom and store the luggage somewhere dry.
And don't forget that the hotel also features three thematic ice bars, where to sip a delicious cocktail served... in a glass made of ice!
The room rate includes a welcome cocktail and access to the Nordic spa's hot tubs and saunas under the stars.
According to Québec City Tourism Website, this is the only ice hotel in North America that opens regularly every winter, from January to March.
So if you would like to experience an unforgettable Nordic night, you will have to wait until the next season starts.
Canadian actress Jocelyn Hudon also starred in Hallmark's 2019 television show When Hope Calls, a spin-off of the network's When Calls the Heart. However, she's better known for her roles on Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s FX Series The Strain and in the Netflix series The Order.
Canadian actor Steve Lund has played several roles for Hallmark productions including 2020' Unlocking Christmas and Best Christmas Party Ever. He also featured in The CW’s series Reign and played Jake in the popular CBC comedy Schitt’s Creek.
