Set and filmed in the city of New Orleans, Project Power combines the genres of superhero fiction and crime noir, garnished with cool cinematography and a terrific soundtrack.
The plot revolves around a new drug providing a five-minute sharp random superpower.

The main cast features actor and singer Jamie Foxx (who starred in Tarantino's Django Unchained) as Art (aka The Major), Joseph Gordon-Levitt as police officer Frank Shaver, and Dominique Fishback as the young dealer and talented rapper Robin.
The film was co-directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, the same tandem that delivered Nerve and Paranormal Activity 3 and 4.

Project Power shows off various NOLA landmarks, including aerial views of the city's skyline highlighting the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The spectacular Crescent City Connection twin cantilever bridges appear also in several shots throughout the film.

The Six Flags abandoned theme park is featured in one of the first scenes introducing Robin and Frank.
The amusement park opened in the year 2000, but it had to close down in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina flooded most of the facilities.

The graffitied building where Newt's apartment is located was filmed at ExhibitBe, an amazing abandoned apartment complex transformed into a graffiti Mecca since 2014, situated in the Algiers neighborhood.

This location was an easy one to find: The filmmakers didn't hide the Carondelet and Perdido street signs.
The bank heist scene was set in a disused Union Savings and Loan Association branch near the historical French Quarter.

The invisible thief takes a city trolley that in New Orleans is called a streetcar. This iconic heritage public transportation network is also a major tourist attraction.
Operating since the first half of the 19th century, this is the oldest continuously working streetcar line in the world.
However, the ride doesn't go as expected, and the chameleonic burglar enters the Majoria's Commerce Restaurant at 300 Camp Street. He ends up in an alley that is not exactly right next to the eatery, but it has a scenic enclosed bridge passing over Picayune Place.

The fast-food Church's Chicken restaurant where The Major hopes to contact Robin is the one located at 4301 St Claude Avenue.

This magnificent 1930s Art Deco terminal building has been featured in multiple productions, from the 1973 James Bond classic movie Live and Let Die to the 2020 film with Tom Hardy, Capone.

The entrance to the Teleios Genetics auction in an underground bar is a building in Canal Street hosting the Big Easy Tattoo & Co and an ACE Cash Express store.

The scenes in the Genesis boat were filmed in The Molengracht, a 43-feet long cargo vessel (142 meters) built in 2012 and sailing under the flag of the Netherlands.

The school scene is shot at Warren Easton Charter school on 3019 Canal street. I see the Navy Yard. And I have a suspicion some interior shots were at an abandoned power plant turned movie studio
