Where was White Lines filmed? The Ibiza House & ALL the Filming Locations
Posted by Ra Moon
The beautiful Balearic Islands are the gorgeous backdrop of White Lines. The mystery thriller was written by Álex Pina, the creator of the Netflix hit series Money Heist.
The story revolves around Zoe Walker, investigating the murder of his brother Axel 20 years ago when he was a young and talented DJ in Ibiza. Together with some of Axel's old friends, she will get involved in a world of hedonism, drugs, and corruption.
The story revolves around Zoe Walker, investigating the murder of his brother Axel 20 years ago when he was a young and talented DJ in Ibiza. Together with some of Axel's old friends, she will get involved in a world of hedonism, drugs, and corruption.
The series stars Laura Haddock as Zoe, Nuno Lopes as Boxer, Daniel Mays as old Marcus, Tom Rhys Harries as Axel Walke, and Marta Milans as Kika.
The show is primarily set in Ibiza (Eivissa) and Manchester, although a lot of White Lines was filmed in Mallorca Island.
Welcome to the Mediterranian and the best guide to the filming locations of the series.
The series opens in the Tabernas Desert in Almería, where Axel's corpse is unearthed after a heavy storm.
The Western saloon where Zoe talks to the police officer was filmed in the village of the Western Theme Park Fort Bravo (aka Texas Hollywood), also in Tabernas.
The complex is near the Oasys theme park, a set originally built to host Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns from 1965 on.
In the first episode, Marcus drives his vintage Citroën Méhari to meet local mafia boss Oriol Calafat (Juan Diego Botto) in the Bar Restaurant Illeta.
This paella chiringuito is located in the De Camp De Mar beach near Andratx (Mallorca).

The White Lines house
Marcus' splendid house is a Vila called Can Pirata in Cala D'Or (Majorca).
You can rent in Airbnb this waterfront property with an outdoor pool, terrace, and direct access to the sea.

The house of the orgy in the first episode is the famous Michael Douglas' S'estaca estate in Valldemossa. Nailed to the Serra de Tramuntana, the actor bought it for his then-wife Diandra Luker in 1989.
However, the origins of the house go back to the mid-19th century, when Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria offered it to his Mallorcan girlfriend, Catalina Homar.
The spectacular property, very close to the other Archduke's estate where the SAS: Red Notice movie was filmed, has almost everything: five apartments, a loft, swimming pool, wine cellar and private access to the sea.

Atlas of Wonders has tracked down Axel's favorite place in Eivissa: The old defense tower is the Torre d'en Rovira in Sant Josep de sa Talaia.
Situated in a strategic scenic position overlooking Des Bosc and Sa Conillera Islands, this is one of the best spots on the island for watching the sunset.

The Calafat Estate is the gorgeous Son Oliver villa located in Coanegra Valley (Serra de Tramuntana mountain range), near the town of Santa Maria del Camí.
Some scenes taking place in the chapel and the courtyard of the stately home were filmed in the Biniagual winery in Binissalem.

The foundation's villa where Conchita Calafat's sister (Belen Lopez) is staying is also an old Mallorcan manor called El Rafal dels Porcs, located in the village of Es Llombards (municipality of Santanyí).
The scenic road with an old graffitied cottage that appears from time to time is the one that links Alcúdia and Port de Pollença.

In the second episode, Marcus meets the Romanian Popeye and Olive in the Port Esportiu Marina d'Eivissa.
This is the same harbor with vistas to the Dalt Vila, the historic walled city of the island, where Zoe arrives on the first episode.
After landing, Zoe takes a walk on the streets of the old town until the Santa Llúcia Bastion lookout.

The flashback scene pictured in 1996 Manchester was filmed in a corner between Eustace Street and Ena Street in Bolton.
The courtroom is the old Crown Court in St George's Hall in Liverpool. The rave party was thrown in the Mayfield Depot in Manchester.

Several scenes in the port and the village were recorded in Portocolom in Felanitx (Mallorca). Pictured, Kika with the Portocolom lighthouse in the background.
The religious procession demonstration of episode six was filmed here in the town.
The area where Zoe's father parks his campervan is the beach of S'Algar, also in Portocolom.

But the most beautiful part, the harbor at the end of the procession, is the Cala Figuera in Santanyí.

Axel's birthday mega-party was filmed in the spectacular state Sa Fortalesa Albercutx de Pollença (Mallorca).
Originally it was a fortress, built in 1628 to repel the Moorish threat. In 1919 it was acquired by an Argentinean artist who transformed the house into a meeting place for top vanguard painters of his time.
Now it belongs to a British banker who bought it in 2011 for 40 million euros.
The luxurious property was also featured in the acclaimed BBC series The Night Manager, serving as the mansion of the arms dealer played by Hugh Laurie, and in the 2019 Netflix show Turn Up Charlie with Idris Elba.

The place where Axel sets fire to the wooden idol is an old Mallorcan quarry of white marés (limestone) stone (the same one used to build the island's great monuments such as La Seu, Castell de Bellver, la Llotja...).
The quarry is located on a private estate. The last scene with Marcus and Andreu Calafat was filmed in the El Espejo Nouveau restaurant in Madrid.
