Tim Morris, an office clerk from Portland, commits the biggest blunder of all time: He mistakenly invites a lunatic crazy girl that he met on a failed date to a fabulous company retreat, instead of the woman of his dreams.
After reluctantly taking her to Hawaii, Tim will realize that besides carrying a Crocodile Dundee-size knife, Missy has got some handy skills among other interesting qualities.

Where was The Wrong Missy filmed?
The blind date, featuring the American professional wrestler Roman Reigns, was filmed in the Stripsteak Waikiki steakhouse. As the name suggests, the restaurant is located very close to the world-famous Waikīkī Beach.
The short scene in the alley, when Tim falls from the toilet window, was shot in Marin St in the Arts District of Honolulu.

Tim Morris' office scenes in Portland are the Davies Pacific Center at 841 Bishop Street in Honolulu's Downtown.
However, the establishing shot of the Credit of America company headquarters is the Tamarind Park (pictured), located just one block up.
The scene at the Newark airport bar with the right Missy, Melissa (Molly Sims), was shot in the Makai Plantation bar, located in a terminal of the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

The HR Hawaii hotel where the retreat takes place is the Four Seasons Resort Ko Olina.
Like the You Had Me at Aloha hotel, this luxury five-star complex in Kapolei is located just 20 miles away from Honolulu.
The production took over the place for a couple of weeks, having the chance to enjoy the touristic center facilities including restaurants, swimming pools, water sports, spa, tennis club, and even a wedding chapel.

The beach party takes place in the Ko Olina Lagoon 1. There are four Ko Olina artificial, crescent-shaped beach coves.
The lagoons were built in the mid-1980s by a developer, so they are privately owned, but you can walk along the beach to check out the perfect semi-circular shape of the swimming holes.

The shark cage dive scenes aboard the yacht were shot at Waianae Boat Harbor, located just 10 miles north from the resort just off the Waianae Coast.
Also, some sections were filmed in Kaneohe Bay and Heeia Kea Pier.
The underwater scenes were recorded at Kapolei Aquatic Center. The Talent Show was shot back to Waikiki in the Sheraton hotel.

Missy goes jumping off a cliff at Lanai Lookout. The hotel main building was CGI'd to the background, as the resort is actually located on the other side of the island.
The stunt work for Missy rolling down the cliff was shot at Kualoa Ranch, above the 1944 Battery Cooper Bunker.
A drone crew was taking footage at the rocks down the cliff at Makapuʻu Lookout. Also, some filming took place in Sandy Beach near Koko Crater, which may have been added into the film in post-production to complete the sequence.

Tim and Missy have a romantic evening in the food trucks, a set located between the Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts and Hale Nanea in Kaneohe.
The shack on the top right of the image is the same Triple Frontier movie location from the scene where the commando is having drinks in a shabby cottage before getting into action.
The swamp that Missy falls into is situated very close from here, on the banks of Moli'i Fishpond, one of the locations where Murder Mystery 2 was filmed.

The last scene of the movie was shot in the Little Lafa restaurant in Waikiki. The studio work was done on a sound stage in the Kaka'ako district of Honolulu.
