Where was Tall Girl filmed? Filming Locations in the City of New Orleans

The Netflix high-school romantic comedy Tall Girl revolves around an about 6-foot-1 teen Jodi and the problems that come from literally standing out from the rest.

Set in the charming Crescent City, Tall Girl was entirely filmed in New Orleans.

The movie is back three years later for the second part, Tall Girl 2, also set in Louisiana.

Ava Michelle reprises her role as Jodi Kreyman. Sabrina Carpenter (who also starred in a Netflix film, Work It) plays her best friend, Harper Kreyman. Griffin Gluck (Gabe in the series Locke and Key) is Jack Dunkleman.

The main cast is completed by Jodi's parents, Steve Zahn (The White Lotus) as Richie Kreyman and Angela Kinsey (The Office) as Helaine Kreyman.

Jodi's house is located at 1247 Esplanade Avenue, the historic street of New Orleans filled with beautiful 19th-century residential architecture.

The Teen Miss Louisiana beauty contest taking place at the fictional McGinty Hall was filmed at the jaw-dropping art-deco style Lakefront Airport.

Both the interior and the exterior were recorded in this magnificent 1930s terminal building.

Jodi and Stig (the foreign exchange student from Sweden), ride the heritage St. Charles Streetcar.
