Mystic Falls & the Salvatore Boarding School house location: Where is Legacies filmed?

The next generation of witches, vampires, and werewolves attending the legendary Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted has arrived. The show is the third installment off of The CW series The Vampire Diaries, and the spin-off of The Originals.
Legacies was filmed in Georgia and apart from the house, the series is basically sharing the same filming locations as its predecessors. The story is set in the fictional town of Mystic Falls.

This time the plot follows the adventures of the teenage daughter of The Originals' main character Klaus, hybrid Hope Mikaelson, played by Danielle Rose Russell. Matthew Davis also returns to Mystic Falls as Alaric Saltzman.

The Salvatore Boarding School
The new Salvatore Boarding School is the Kent Rock Manor, a large event venue state that includes the pond, the buildings next to it, and the baseball field.
The mansion is located at 5520 Kent Rock Rd in Loganville, 3 and a half miles west of Walnut Grove (thanks a lot Tommy for the info!).

For the first season of The Vampire Diaries, the original Salvatore Boarding School was filmed at the historic Glenridge Hall Mansion in Sandy Springs.
For the second season onwards, the building was reproduced in a set at the studio. Sadly, the original manor from 1929 was demolished and all its magnificent gardens and surrounding forest were razed to the ground in 2015, to make room for urban development.

The town of Mystic Falls
The Mystic Falls Courthouse or The Clock Tower is the Newton County Board of Commissioners, located in the famous Square in Covington. This place is virtually the soul and heart of the franchise.
Located just across the street, the unmissable Mystic Grill restaurant is the favorite hangout for all the creatures of the series.
Google Street View shows this image with the filming crew at work, although the interior scenes are usually recorded in a sound stage. The Alley at Mystic Grill gift shop hosted the Sullivan's Restaurant location of the Sweet Magnolias series.

The Olde Town in Conyers is also going to be the setting of the New Orleans French Quarter for the new series.
Legacies was also filming at Walnut Grove High School in Loganville, as the Atlanta Magazine reports.

Kent Rock Manor is the property used for the exteriors of the Salvatore School in Legacies. The mansion includes the main house, the pond, the buildings next to the pond, and the baseball field. The house in the top left corner is a separate property. In case the link doesn't work, the property is located 3 and a half miles west of Walnut Grove, Georgia,' on Kent Rock Road. Cheers!

The new Salvatore house in Legacies has a similar look to the original and I suppose you can assume the differences can be chalked up that Caroline and Alaric did some renovating. I have noticed though on Legacies that there are some shots of the Original house at certain angles, which is most likely extra footage they shot of the original house and perhaps add in some digital shots of the new one.

Covington has a lot of iconic locations from TVD. Elena’s house is located at 2104 Floyd Street, Covington, GA 30014. And the Lockwood Mansion is located just around the corner at 2129 East Street SE, Covington, Georgia 30014.
At the Covington Visitor’s center, guests can see and take pictures with the iconic “Welcome to Mystica Falls” sign from the show.
