The 2018 Halloween movie is a continuation of the cult horror 1978 film, released coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of John Carpenter's slasher classic.
This time, the babysitter killer is back in the neighborhood after escaping from a crashed penitentiary bus.
Like the original movie, the new Halloween is also set in the fictional town of Haddonfield (Illinois), but it was filmed on location in Charleston, South Carolina

Jamie Lee Curtis leads the returning cast as the only survivor of the 70's night Laurie Strode, and Nick Castle also reappears as the killer Michael Myers.
The sequel, directed by David Gordon Green has received a good critical response and topped the box office in its debut.

The scene in the graveyard was filmed at the scenic Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston.
This cemetery looks very much like the Salem Hubie Halloween burial ground featured in the 2020 Netflix movie.

Haddonfield High School was filmed at the Danny Jones Complex Armory in North Charleston.
Charleston was also the location of the Netflix series set in Kildare, Outer Banks.
