Filming Locations Guide: Where was Deadpool 2 filmed?

The location and name of the fictional city where Deadpool is set is intentionally vague; However, we are certain that Deadpool 2 was filmed in the Vancouver metro area.

The second coming of this particular superhero was one of the most anticipated movies of 2018.

The premiere of Deadpool 2 was preceded by a no less peculiar marketing campaign that included the resurrection of Celine Dion and David Beckham for the masses.

The X-Force team of mutants is led by Ryan Reynolds, who returns to his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. Morena Baccarin is his fiancée Vanessa, Zazie Beetz is the lucky Domino, and tough guy Cable is played by Josh Brolin.

The dome of the Vancouver Art Gallery is clearly visible from the downtown alley where driver Dopinder (Karan Soni) waits for Deadpool in his cab.

This is the same location used to portray the X-Mansion in all of the X-Men movie series.

The manor house is a heritage building, part of the Royal Roads University.

The Essex House for Mutant Rehabilitation was set in the East Lawn Building of the former Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam.

You've probably seen this place in many other movies and shows; it's a very popular location that's been used in many other productions, including Riverdale, Nancy Drew, Prison Break, or Tracker.

The Hillside Amusement Park billboard, where most of the parachuting team lands, was built at the intersection of Boundary Road and Triumph Street in Burnaby Heights (Vancouver).

All the next locations are also in Vancouver. The prisoner convoy enters the city and arrives at the Lions Gate Bridge.

Chase scenes were filmed throughout the city. Several blocks of downtown Vancouver were shut down for filming over the weekends.
