Where was Ozark Filmed? Guide to ALL the Filming Locations
Posted by Ra Moon
Welcome to the Lake of the Ozarks, or the redneck riviera, as Marty Byrde claims in the first season of the hit Netflix series.
However, very little was filmed in Missouri. Ozark was primarily filmed in and around Atlanta.
The crime drama, now back for season 4 which will be the last one, was produced in Georgia to take advantage of the state's tax incentives to film there.
However, very little was filmed in Missouri. Ozark was primarily filmed in and around Atlanta.
The crime drama, now back for season 4 which will be the last one, was produced in Georgia to take advantage of the state's tax incentives to film there.
Actually, the Ozarks have a much more inspiring nickname: the Missouri Magic Dragon due to the aerial look of this large reservoir.
The plot revolves around Marty, a financial advisor in trouble, forced to launder money to save his family and his skin from the hands of a drug Mexican cartel.
The series, which has been compared to Breaking Bad, stars Jason Bateman (Arrested Development, The Outsider), Laura Linney (The Truman Show, Mystic River), Julia Garner (Inventing Anna, The Americans), and young actress Sofia Hublitz.
Here is our spoiler-free guide to the filming locations of Ozark - you'll find the season 2, 3, and 4 updates below in the report.
The show features many establishing shots of the real Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
Some iconic landmarks of the area appear during the series, including the Community Bridge, the Bagnell Dam Strip area, and the City of Lake Ozark water tower.

Ya when he says he made that brosur at Kinkos that was a flaw. The closest Kinkos around here is a hub in Jeff City but there's a Staples in Osage Beach that's where he would have went
ReplyDelete"Brosur"? Really? It’s shameful that people in the United States don’t know their own language. Are you trying to say "brochure"? And you do know that "would have went" isn’t a phrase in English, either, don’t you? I mean, no adult could be this stupid, could they? Not to mention that no adult could possibly believe that a fictional show — set in Missouri — might not represent locations literally, right?
DeleteThe person you replied to was obviously being facetious in their grammar, considering where this series was made. What's shameful though, is your reaction. You know that some people 'literally' enjoy friendly conversation like that sometimes, right? I mean, i dunno, maybe yur two stoopid too no?
DeleteThere is literally nothing to indicate the person was being facetious. You do know that some people actually can't spell? Apparently not.
DeleteI'm pretty sure the motel scenes are from this motel. They shot there a few times but haven't been able to confirm
ReplyDelete2289 Holly Springs Pkwy, Holly Springs, GA 30115

Does anyone know the location of the Snell farm?
ReplyDeleteI suspect the horse farm is near the Snell Farm in Alpharetta, GA, as the countryside looks similar. I have not made time to search it out yet. The Snell barn being nearby just around the corner makes it more likely as it makes filming/transportation easier. If you are not familiar with the location of the Snell house it is at 777 Rivendell Lane. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteThe football games playing on the TVs look like CFL games. Does anyone know if this is true?
ReplyDeleteThe Lazy O motel is actually the Morel 6 off West Avenue in Conyers Georgia. I was there while filming was going on for season four.

ReplyDeleteI am writing n Ozark Companion which will feature all the many locations that can be identified. Can you provide your source or any info as to this location. I have 2700 Mechanicsville RD ATL 30360 but no interior pix.

17 Andrew Young Blvd NE 2nd floor, Atlanta, GA 30303
There was a short scene in a church in Season 1 and it took place at my mom’s church. It’s called Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church on S. Old Peachtree Rd in Peachtree Corners, GA. Could have been episode 2,3 or 4 maybe, sorry can’t remember the exact one. It’s a beautiful old church.
ReplyDeleteThe Langmore trailers and a lot more were shot at Chestnut Ridge Park in Flowery Branch. They used that entire area as their own backlog throughout the series, building Mason’s church and burning it down there, all action and shooting scenes and more. I made a video on it if you search “Langmore trailers Adam Was Here”.
